Exploring the theme of sound, our creative team was asked to design an entertainment concept for young children aged 3-5 years who would be attending the Art Basel Hong Kong Exhibition. I designed a a story-telling stage, featuring well-loved landmarks and sights for our puppet Jake to explore on his Hong Kong adventure, having become separated from his tour group. We layered sound effects and auditory soundscapes in the background as our performers interacted with the stage to create greater narrative immersion for our young listeners. What a lovely distraction!

Client: UBS (For Art Basel Hong Kong)

The stage was designed to incorporate some fun interactive elements, including life-sized felt-play pieces, flashing lights, sound effects and a moving 'Star Ferry.' During the story-telling performance, we invited children up to complete challenges and puzzles, placing the fruit back on the supermarket shelves, putting the correct colour-coded dim-sum back in their baskets,  and helping the little frogs hop onto their lily-pads! Ribbit, Ribbit!
